How to wear out a 3 year old

Start out with a little sand box time.

 Don't smile.

 No, don't laugh.

Spend some time hanging out with Dad while Mom tortures herself at a crazy Pilates class.  Play with some action figures while Mom grocery shops.

Head to All Fired Up with Mom for a little painting (and give Dad a break from the 20 Questions Inquisition).

Get my hand painted for a little stamping.

Good thing they have pros there who can help get the perfect image.

But I'm not dirty.

Happy with a lemonade.

Mommy, you didn't want any.

Worn out!

There's a new sheriff in town

It's a little difficult to tell, but he is wearing a police belt with his winter shoes because he was looking for the bad guys.  The shoes help him be sneaky, or so he says.

The Brainwashing Continues

I have got to put a stop to this.  Can a Tar Heel help me out with this?  PLEASE!

While I was airing out of the yoga mat, Cooper thought it looked like a nice spot for a snooze.

Wordless Wednesday - Just Need to Grow Into My Pants

... And brainwash him back to only wearing Tar Heel attire.  His Dad knows better than this.

How dirty can you get?

Well, when I find you under the porch playing next to the dog houses ...

But Mommy, I'm not that dirty ...

Do you want to make a bet, and you stink too ...

Nothing that a few bubbles won't take care of ...

Well maybe we need round two to get rid of all this dirt ...

He did tell me that the water was like swamp water after he was finished.  He is all boy.

Big Float Night, Take 2

We came prepared tonight for Big Float Night with a jetski float sent from Nana.  They even had a DJ playing fun summer songs.  Cooper did have a little trouble getting going on it because it has a water reservoir in the bottom and someone (who will remain nameless) didn't fill it up before adding the air.  Mommy to the rescue with a quick trip to the water hose after he kept getting dumped off.

He had a blast and even did a great job sharing with two little girls.

Shaking my tail feather

Someone found his old Halloween costumes and tried to put them on.  I missed getting a picture of him trying to get his monkey costume on from the first year.  Where does the time fly.  He wasn't even walking in this photo.

But he did pose for the one he wore when he was two.  It fit a little better because there were no feet in this one.

Even the Spiderman costume from this past year is getting a little snug.  Do your kids try to squeeze in too small costumes too?  I wish I had captured the giggles to go along with the pictures.

Reading to my Ben Ben

Cooper loves Ben.  He decided he needed to share his teddy bear and night night with Ben.  Then he thought Ben looked tired, so he decided to feed him a bedtime snack of animal crackers and read him a book.

This is Ben's favorite resting spot.  Usually his fused leg is propped up on the railing.

Ready to read a little "Princess and the Pea."

Check Ben out wincing at the animation.

"That's better.  I'm an old dog and can only handle so much excitement.  Thanks for the snack," love Ben.

Weekend Fun

This wild child had a terrific time playing at a friend's cookout this weekend.  The Spiderman accessories made his day.  He played the shy guy for the first part of the visit but watching the big guys play helped to draw him out.  And then there was no stopping him.

Spidey to the rescue.

Check out that smile.  The big guys were letting him join in on the fun.

The running man pose.

Thanks to our wonderful hosts for a great afternoon/evening.  Cooper paid the ultimate compliment at the end of the evening.  When asked if he wanted to come back and play another day, he said "Maybe we can sleep here."  I think he was ready to move in.

Thoughts by Cooper

I wish I had a moon grabber so I could grab that moon. I would put it in your car. And eat it. It tastes like moon candy.

It might be too big and break your car. If my moon grabber doesn't reach, I could tie a string around it to help reach.

This is what I woke up to on a beautiful Saturday morning.  A perfect little boy entertaining himself so his Mom and Dad get a few more minutes of much needed sleep.

Come on Mom, please stop taking my picture.  I am trying to look cute here.

I hope you have moments like this.  We all need them to keep our sanity.
