Drive-In Fun

We finally made it back to the drive-in.  This time for Cars 2.  I was curious to see how he would react this time compared to last year when we saw Toy Story 3.

He had a blast.

And completely enthralled with the movie.

He ate a hot dog, ice cream cone, 3 pink lemonades, some candy, and popcorn.  And stayed awake for the entire movie.  He did spread the sleeping bag out on the gravel for the last ten minutes.  Just like his Dad, he can sleep anywhere if he needs to.

Drive-in Movie Time

Thanks to M for finding out the scoop, we headed to the drive-in Friday night to see Toy Story 3.  And as usual, we pulled AK along for the ride.  The drive-in just opened this year, and they have done a great job with the place.  There is a nice kid's play area with a toddler one of to the side.  They have your typical little league type fare, hotdogs, hamburgers, snow cones, and of course, popcorn.

We got there early to get a good space, so we had lots of time for the kids to run around and eat dinner before settling in.

Believe it or not, but this actually is a view of Time Out. A parent can find one no matter where they are.

He was so excited when the picture came on, so it was hard to get a shot with him sitting still.

He did finally settle down in the back of the mini-van with the other kids.  And he even drifted off to sleep for a little while, but was wide awake for the end and most of the car ride home.

I can't believe I don't have a picture of him eating anything, because he ate anything and everything.

We had a great time, but it made for a super late night due to it not getting dark until 9 pm.  We will definitely go back again, but probably closer to fall.
