Lots to be thankful for!

Cooper got a special treat from Grammy.  He named them "Turkey Muffins."

And he enjoyed every last bite!

He spent a lot of time at the table this holiday weekend.  Luckily, the kitchen was well-stocked.  We did lots of relaxing, watching movies, a little small town shopping (check out Crab Pot Trees), and just hanging out.

More pumpkin muffin!

A new favorite - pineapple with cherries.

A nut lesson with Grammy.

And the finale - singing Happy Birthday to Poppa (notice the hands).

Helping Dad with the leaves!

There once was a pile of leaves

that Dad had carefully raked!

 But somehow,

this look

made Dad forget about what needed to be raked AGAIN!

Happy Birthday to You

J & I can't believe three years have flown by.  We started the day by telling Cooper the story about the day he was born.  He loved it and and asked for more stories.  I love this age ... for the most part.

Some recent stats:
Height - 104 cm or almost 41" (off the growth chart)
Weight - 17.8 kg or 39 pounds (97th percentile)
Vocabulary - Full conversations with adult phrasing including "actually Mommy, that's an _____."
Favorite pastimes - Reading, playing with cars, running everywhere, pretending he is a police officer.
Favorite song - Bad Boys from Cops. Against my knowledge, J let Cooper watch Cops.  They have changed the song to "Bad boys, bad boys, whatcha gonna do when Cooper comes for you?"  And Cooper sings it that way.
Favorite nursery rhyme - Hickory dickory dock (we have no idea why)

His imagination has really come out lately.  He loves making up stories.  And testing our patience.  But we love him always.

3rd Birthday Party

Cooper had a superhero theme party to continue with his Spiderman Halloween theme.

Everyone thought the cutout was of Cooper.  It was actually from his costume package, and it looked exactly like him. The capes were a hit and I even have a photo of one of the dads wearing one (and yes, it is has been passed on to his wife for future blackmail).

Someone got very shy with the birthday cake and singing.

He did cheer up when he realized it was Superman and that there was chocolate underneath.

Cooper finally got a Mini Cooper.

He was making monkey faces.

Aunt L strikes again.  He was a little frightened but intrigued at the same time at the Dancing Mickey.

So excited ... for clothes.  Thanks to the grandparents and Aunt B for keeping him in clothes that cover those long arms and legs.

He had a great time with friends and family, and ended up finishing up the day with a four hour nap to recover.
