The first week of December

Cooper has a terrific Advent Calendar that he got from his Grammy and Poppa. Here he is opening his first gift on the 1st. He loves the "prewsent", and we are working on the story of Jesus' birth and who the gifts come from. For now, he is at least calling his grandmother, grammy instead of grandpa. We can't figure out where that came from.

This was also our first year taking Cooper to Richmond's Grand Illumination, where they light up the James Center and many of the buildings in downtown.  There were people, and unfortunately vendors, everywhere.  I think Cooper was a little overwhelmed by the whole experience.  We thought he would be enthralled with all the "prewty ites", but I think there was just too much other commotion.  Maybe next year will be better.  He did get a glow necklace, which made him very happy.

 

He finished the night with a ride on Daddy's shoulders, so he was very happy with how it ended.
